In 2009 we were delighted to announce the completion of 'Valley in the North', a feature length documentary focusing on an isolated region of North Northumberland. The film features a group of people ranging in age from 55-90 talking about their memories of life in and around the College Valley. These memories range from the 1920s through to the early 60s. and include, among other things, growing up in the Valley, shepherding, schooling and the B-17 Plane crash on Braydon Crag in 1944.

Since the 60s a huge change in population and working practices in rural areas means the testimony of the people involved is a valuable archive.

The film features on-location recollections combined with interviews. Fifteen people took part in this film and we are delighted to have a diverse range of experience represented. This, combined with stunning landscape photography, makes this film an exciting visual experience as well as an informative and fascinating insight into a past way of life.
